A small and very delicious “taste” of Italy hides in plain sight on the main street as you drive through Playa Del Rey to the beach. Cantalini’s Salerno Beach is a cute little restaurant with an intimate ambiance and incredibly delicious food!
I am writing about them not just to introduce you to their food, but because we have recently partnered with the catering division to bring fabulous Italian cuisine to your event, home or office! Whether you are having a small intimate dinner at your home, a fundraiser, a wedding, an office meeting or year-end bash, we can provide you with authentic Italian fare that will have your guests raving for weeks!
The owner, Lisa Schwab’s family is originally from Abruzzi, Italy and she says one of her favorite childhood memories is helping her grandmother make hand-made ravioli. This amazing dish pictured below has become one of their signature dishes and is still made fresh daily in the restaurant today.
Below are pictures of just a few of their fabulous items available on the menu. From left to right is antipasto, chicken parmesan, ricotta and spinach ravioli, caprese salad and salmon piccata. 
Three more customer favorites from left to right are: Bruschetta appetizer, chicken piccata and veggie pasta. Gluten free pasta options are available as well. Speaking of pasta; the stuffed shells with ricotta, herbs and marinara are beyond amazing and a must try for your next event! But Italian food is not all about pasta! Cantalini’s offers a huge selection of salads, fish and meat dishes for you to choose from and they have children’s meals and portions for the little ones as well.
Last but not least their desserts will leave you speechless! The cannoli is heavenly, the tiramisu absolute perfection and the third picture is tartufo which is an ice cream truffle. So yummy and so many options to choose from, one more scrumptious than the other.
I don’t know about you, and believe me I enjoy cooking, but how great is it to have guests over when all you have to do is put a pan or two in the oven, set the appetizers and desserts out on a platter and you are ready! You can rest assured that your guests will leave delighted and best of all with little effort from you. If you are rushing home late from a meeting call Cantalini’s and have your dinner delivered freshly made! All you have to do is warm it up. Have an office meeting or retreat?
